Remote Access Guide
This document explains the basic steps required to connect to a StreamGPU container for the first time.
1. Download the Security Key
- After container creation completes, the dashboard shows a prompt to download the security key.
- Save the key immediately in a safe location because it cannot be retrieved again later.
2. Store the Key and Set Permissions
- Move the key file to a private directory that you control.
- Before connecting, make sure the key file permissions are not too open.
- On Windows, follow the on-screen guidance for private-key usage and permission setup.
3. Check the Connection Details
- The dashboard shows the address, port, and username required for access.
- The safest approach is to copy and use the connection command exactly as shown.
4. Connect for the First Time
- When you run the SSH command, you may see a host-key confirmation message.
- Review the prompt and proceed only when the connection details look correct.
5. If the Connection Fails
- Re-check the key-file path and permissions.
- Confirm that the connection details shown in the dashboard are current.
- If you are on a corporate or public network, verify whether the required port is blocked.
Additional Guidance
- If you also need file transfer, use the SFTP file transfer guide.
- If connection failures continue, contact support through the Contact Us menu.
